We have been in the piano business since 1953 when Ronald Ware the founder of our piano business completed his apprenticeship at Hickies & Hickies music shop Boscombe, Dorset where his master could also trace his learning lineage back to the 19th century. We have been expertly restoring, repairing and tuning pianos for Radio 4, music colleges, and were former County Council contract school piano tuners and repairers for Dorset, Hampshire, West Sussex, Harrow and Bucks. Apollo is brand name made in Japan by Toyo established in 1948. This model is unique with its wonderful three panel top door and one panel bottom door casework with wide Cabriole legs giving this piano a very stylish traditional look. Apollo vs Yamaha, with absolute certainty the choice between the two is a very personal choice which can only be made by trying both pianos.
The tone is very strong and the Bass is thunderous with a very powerful tenor and treble. The touch is responsive and medium to heavy.
